FootGolf Association of England to Host the FIFG Masters 2025 at Ashbury Manor

We are thrilled to announce that the FootGolf Association of England has been selected as the host for the prestigious FIFG Masters 2025. Their exceptional proposal, titled FIFG Masters, stood out for its meticulous planning, premium facilities, and unwavering commitment to delivering an unforgettable experience for players, spectators, and organizers.

The event is scheduled from August 19 to 24, 2025, with an exciting addition of two extra days dedicated to the final of the new World Club Championship on one of the courses. This innovative competition, which will be fully introduced on October 15, 2024, represents a significant milestone in FootGolf’s global expansion, offering an international platform for club teams to compete at the highest level. Further details, including the competition format, qualification process, and other key specifics, will be revealed on the announcement date, including the competition format, qualification process, and other key specifics.

The selection process for the 2025 FIFG Masters was highly competitive, with five global organizers initially expressing interest in hosting this prestigious event. After a detailed review, two countries delivered their final bids. Ultimately, England’s outstanding proposal won the bid, thanks to its impressive track record, particularly demonstrated during the successful hosting of the 2024 English Major. This past performance showcased its ability to organize large-scale events with precision and excellence while also highlighting its dedication to the growth and development of FootGolf as a premier sport.

Venue: Ashbury Manor

The Ashbury Manor will host the FIFG Masters 2025. This venue is perfectly suited for large-scale FootGolf events and will play a crucial role in supporting the game’s continued growth.

Ashbury Manor can accommodate 1,000 guests across its two hotels, each capable of hosting 500 guests. The second hotel is just 2 miles from the main venue, and a complimentary shuttle service will transport guests to and from each hotel, ensuring a convenient and comfortable experience.

FootGolf Courses:

The Ashbury Golf Resort, the 9th largest golf resort in the world, boasts six golf courses. For the FIFG Masters, we will use 18 holes of the Oakwood course and 9 holes of the Pines course, possibly adding more courses if needed. The courses provide a challenging but fair test for competitors, ensuring the competition will be mentally and physically demanding.
Initially, one course will be used for the competition, but once registrations climb above 120 players, a second course will be released to accommodate the additional participants. The challenging layout of these courses ensures that they are fit for the highest levels of FootGolf competition.

Key Deciding Criteria:

England’s bid was chosen based on several key factors:

Development of FootGolf: England has shown dedication to promoting FootGolf, particularly in junior and women’s divisions, which aligns with FIFG’s long-term vision.

World-Class Facilities: The courses at Ashbury Manor meet FIFG’s high standards, providing a premium experience for the 360 pre-qualified players.
Player-Focused Approach: The proposal included special discounted registration fees for pre-qualified players, making the event more accessible.
